Once there was a love
that passes my way
but then i let it go
i let it slip away

a lasting friendship i thought we made
with love so strong it cannot fade
we shared together our hopes and dreams
i was so lucky that's how it seems

how it started i do not know
but suddenly apat we grow
i never trusted the love we had
you left me here alone and sad

how much i cared you'll never know
i know i have to let you go
there's nothing left to say or do
